CYCLE ROUTE No 27, length: 10,5 km

 

The route tracked in the areas of Lubliniec begins on the southern borders of the town on the area of Solarnia village and leads through the wooden terrains in the area of ponds in Wymyślacz quarter till DK 11 (Trunk Road 11). DK 11 is a southern ring road of the town. Then, the path goes along 74 Górnośląskiego Pułku Piechoty Street. The street leads across Park Grunwaldzki (Grunwaldzki Park). LKS Sparta Sports Stadium and a picturesque playground adhere to this route. In the park is also an amphitheatre and Kanał Grunwaldzki (Grunwaldzki Canal) and the numerous paths for pedestrians and cyclists. Then, the route passes the military unit and goes along 11 Listopada Street near Jewish cemetery where the grandparents, brothers and sisters were buried, the members of the family of St Edith Stein who is one of the Patrons of Europe and the Patroness of Lubliniec. Majdanek Street leads to Droniowicka Street and then to Stawowa Street along a dam and modern pitch and next goes along Pokoju and Nowa Street to the crossroads with Cmentarna Street. There, on an old cemetery Jan Nikodem Jaroń Silesian poet and national activist is buried. Then, it leads along Dworcowa Street to Niepodległości square and goes pedestrian and cycling path to the end of Paderewskiego Street and turns into Częstochowska Street. The route leads to water tower towards Jawornica. The path binds Solarnia and Jawornica, villages adhering to Lubliniec. Along the route one can see many interesting places and tourist attractions such as Jewish cemetery, dam by Stawowa Street and water tower at the crossroads of Częstochowska and Kochcicka Streets.
